Welcome to the New World

Explore a dark, violent, and haunted continent in order to find the truth of your existence, and discover amongst the ruins of an evil, ancient civilization a threat to all peoples of the world. Punish fiendish creatures, join them as a fellow servant, or simply focus on discovering your past--the legacy you leave on the world is yours to forge.

• Fear no death with souls-esque respawning and map progression mechanics.


• Sacrifice your humanity to augment your abilities by using the harvested parts of slain foes in macabre, crafting-lite mechanics.


• Engage well-written and memorable characters in amusing, lengthy conversations, with choices that allow you to express humor, sincerity, or anything in between using the lovingly and painstakingly written dialogue trees.


• Find powerful items to help you in your fight against foul foes; discover goofy secrets or extra lore; find hidden bosses to test your mettle; and explore carefully crafted, detailed environments.


• Demo includes about 3 hours of content, depending on player skill.


• Modified RPG Maker VX Ace engine that allows for greatly improved performance, full screen viewing at various selectable resolutions, and with full Keyboard + Mouse or Keyboard Only controls.

Notes on the Demo Version

Further development of this game and its world has officially halted, with this short, fully playable demo being the result of an inordinate amount of development time.

As a result, many features and elements don't meet the original vision I had for them due to time restraints. Even so, I've play tested the game more times than I ever wanted to, and so most bugs and crashes should be dealt with.

An error still occurs sometimes when exiting to the main menu, but I have not experienced any game-breaking issues, nor any crashes during gameplay.

RTP has been used as a result of running out of development time, but I trust that its implementation is seamless and doesn't interfere with the experience of the game. This is another element that I'd love to change if I had unlimited time.

Finally, this is my first and likely last RPG Maker game, so you will find that the quality/polish of various elements will improve as you progress through the game, though the initial elements aren't "rough" or "bad," they're just outdated compared to the skills I have now by the end of development. To see what I'm really capable of, play through the complete demo--it's short enough and I'd really appreciate it!
